DESCRIPTION OF THE MAIN COMPONENTS

Inlet and outlet carriage sliding guides - Feeding and pulling carriages

- The carriages are driven by n°2 hydraulic cylinders that control the longitudinal advance of the bar

- The carriages are moving on rollers, sliding on two round guidance bars.

- Bar clamping system is composed by n°2 jaws hydraulically driven

- Control of the speed is given via Encoder coupled with a rack installed on the carriage guide baseframe

Main spindle

It is controlled by a gear box driven by a 200 kW a.c. motor through belt transmission. Motor speed is controlled by Inverter. Main spindle is mounted on 2 bearings of high capacity and high precision.

Peeling Head

Manual adjustable peeling head for diameter up to 280 mm. At both, inlet and outlet, of the peeling head a pair of rollers are installed. Distance between rollers is manually adjustable.

Lubricating Installation

Assures the lubrication of the gears mounted on the gear box and bearings of the main spindle. Oil tank and oil filtering system are inside the gear box.

Electrical Equipment

Including main switch, control and protection devices and the PLC. Electric components are housed in a suitably dimensioned modular metal cabinet provided with doors on the front. 

Control Panel

Control panel is placed in front of the machine in a position such as to have a good supervision of the plant. It contains all the instruments necessary for running and controlling the peeling machine. There is permanent visualization of:

- number of revolutions of the peeling head

- % of power absorbed by the peeling head

- feed in m/min

- diameter under process - Electric motors - One set of electric motors and gear motors are included, to drive the various components of the peeling line.

- protection degree: for Ac motors
